One thing you should know about me: I am absolutely, 100% a dog person.
Dogs can put an immediate smile on your face. If you have a rough day at the office, you can come home to an excited pet that will make you feel great. They are great companions; you can decide when they can be around you, and they generally form an attachment to you. Plus, you cannot lie to a dog. It is impossible to fool a dog, emotionally that is. They will just start at you until you decide to give in. If you are feeling lonely, a dog will always be there to keep you company. I was lucky enough to grow up with a sweet and caring dog. He always greeted me with excitement, never got tired of me, and constantly showered me with affection.
So, if you want some company, go crazy and get a dog. It will be one of the greatest investments you ever made!! What are some of your favorite memories with dogs?

Starting this Friday is will be the beginning of Walk Your Dog Week. Across the nation, people will be grabbing their leashes to take their four-legged friends around town. How will you celebrate this holiday?
Walking your dog is even more fun when you have walking buddies to join you. There are walking groups that get together all over Dallas. One particular group calls themselves “Dawgs Out.” Aside from dog walks, this group holds several events each month like Yappy Hours, camping trips, pool parties, and more!
Don’t yet have a dog of your own? Toscana is a pet-friendly apartment community, and we encourage everyone to become pet owners! They make for great companions, teach your children responsibility, and become an additional member of the family. I know my childhood wouldn’t have been the same without my pup in my life - why not think about adopting today?

Dogs like to wander around and sometimes they wander off and next thing you know you can’t find each other. It can make you worry when it has been several minutes and you still can’t find them.
You may begin to think that someone stole them or they wandered off extremely far from home and will be scared. Worst-case scenarios tend to run through your mind about where your dog is and what happened to them. To avoid thinking about those scenarios, worrying, stressing, and crying you should consider injecting a microchip in your dog.
Your dog may have a name tag with your phone number and its medical information, but that can easily be taken off. If you insert a microchip into your dog, they can easily be found. It will not hurt them and is the size of a rise of grain. It is injected at a specific spot on the skin and veterinarians and animal care takes know exactly where to find it.
There is no surgery necessary and the chip holds all of the dog’s information as well as yours. You can put your name and phone number on the microchip. And if your dog is found by a vet or a shelter that can easily scan for its information and call you letting you know where to find your dog. It is easy, simple, and less stressful. You can get your pet a microchip at Dallas Animal Services for $15.
Don’t risk loosing your dog again with the microchip.
