3 Ways to Celebrate This Pumpkin Season
If you haven’t taken notice, fall is absolutely my favorite season. Halloween happens during this season, the leaves are changing colors helping make the outdoors look absolutely stunning, and pumpkins are everywhere. Yes, I said pumpkins. They’re essential to making fall what it is!
You can celebrate the fall season right without incorporating pumpkins in there along the way. Here are my 3 favorite pumpkin related things you can do right in Dallas:

[/caption]- Use them as décor. Pumpkins would be beautiful as centerpieces, and they also make for great décor in various corners of rooms in your apartment, especially where you already have existing plants. Once they’ve served their purpose here, you can use them for my #2.
- Eat it up! Pumpkin is the flavor of the season. Try your hand at a pumpkin pie in your kitchen, or head out to Starbucks just 2 minutes from home to get a delicious pumpkin spice latte. Your tastebuds and tummy will love you for it! And don’t worry about over indulgence – you can always make up for it in the fitness center later!
- Carve ‘em up to make a great Jackolantern. It is the spooky season! Carved pumpkins go bad within days of making them, so this is the perfect time to do it. Make a scary witch, ghoulish figure, whatever you want! If you think your creation is a winning one, you can take a picture that could win you a great prize.

I admit, I have a serious caffeine addiction. I absolutely love waking up in my apartment to that delicious smell of fresh coffee in my kitchen (thank you automatic coffee maker!), and it doesn’t stop there. I drink coffee all day long, and it’s a lovely thing. The only thing that may be hurting is my wallet.
In order to save a little money, try to take advantage of great coffee shop deals when they arise. One thing I only began noticing after I bought my Starbucks ground coffee from the store is that if you bring your empty bag in after you’ve used up all of the grounds, you can get a free cup of coffee in return. Great deal, right?

Those Dallas is lucky enough to still be experiencing fall-like weather at the start of the winter season, that doesn’t mean that you residents shouldn’t be prepared for the cold to come! Last winter season there was some serious snowfall around town, so stock up on your warm winter clothes. You can consider them last minute holiday gifts to yourself!
A perfect accessory that anyone would love (I know I sure would) is an infinity scarf. Have you seen these? They keep you warm just as any scarf would without the hassle of having to make sure they stay on you. Simply loop them around and they’ll stay on all day.
Another piece of clothing that should make its way back to your apartment is a great peacoat. Make sure it’s structured, and has a lining that is built to keep you warm even through the bitter cold.

There has been a lot of talk about what to do this holiday season. Some people want to go ice skating, my parents definitely want to see my apartment, but I feel like there has got to be a lot more to do! Then I remembered an activity we used to do when I was much younger that I’ve decided to revive: caroling!
